The Rockwell Marshals waltzed into their contest Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams 74-45 on the road. With Rockwell ahead 45-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Rockwell to victory were Luke Henderson and Roman Haueter. Henderson dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Haueter almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Henderson has scored at least 25% of Rockwell's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Shattuck, who scored eight points.
Rockwell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Dugway at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Dugway comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Merit Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Merit Preparatory Academy is ranked 137th, while Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams is ranked 132nd).
