Omarean Ellis Turns in Season-Best Performance
Omarean Ellis produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Jackson Academy to the win on Friday. Ellis rushed for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per carry. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.
Jackson Academy's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Ellis and Jackson Academy will take on Starkville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hartfield Academy Wins 21st-Straight Thanks to Kaden Catchings
Kaden Catchings's big game helped extend Hartfield Academy's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Catchings did his part (and then some), rushing for 152 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries for the 'W'.
Hartfield Academy's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Catchings and Hartfield Academy will head out to square off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

London Simmons was instrumental in extending Hartfield Academy's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Simmons turned in his biggest game of the season, picking up 4.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (7.0 for loss).
Oak Forest Academy had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Simmons it was a similar story. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Simmons saw the Yellowjackets), he picked up two sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Puckett Came Up Big in Jackson Prep's 42-7 Win
Jackson Prep picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Billy Puckett. Nobody could stop Puckett as he threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
If the past is any indication, Puckett could be in store for another big game when he takes on Presbyterian Christian on Friday. When Puckett last faced the Bobcats back in October of 2023, he threw for 296 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Samuel Stockett Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Samuel Stockett of Madison-Ridgeland Academy. Stockett threw for 211 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
The win was the third in a row for Madison-Ridgeland Academy, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Stockett and Madison-Ridgeland Academy will stay at home for another week and welcome Hartfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
