Make it four blowout wins for the Centura Centurions this season. Everything went their way against Doniphan-Trumbull on Tuesday as Centura made off with a 46-26 victory. With Centura ahead 25-3 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Leading Centura to victory were Kyra Wooden and Kennedy Davis. Wooden scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists, while Davis scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. Wooden hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlie Sokol, who scored six points along with two steals.
Charlee Richter and Ridley Sadd certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Richter dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds, while Sadd scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Richter also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Centura's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Centura will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gibbon at 6:15 p.m. As for Doniphan-Trumbull, they will head out on the road to face off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Centennial is ranked 147th, while Doniphan-Trumbull is ranked 153rd).
