Far Northeast W is 7-0 against the Thunderbirds since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Far Northeast W Warriors will be playing at home against the Hinkley Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 19 consecutive losses for Far Northeast W and six for the Thunderbirds.
Far Northeast W struggled with assists on Saturday (the Angels had 27 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Far Northeast W was beaten by the Angels 84-18. Far Northeast W has not had much luck with the Angels recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Far Northeast W struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hinkley had to suffer through a rough 67-29 loss at the hands of the Ravens. While losing is never fun, Hinkley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Ravens are ranked 31st).
Far Northeast W dropped their record down to 0-19 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Hinkley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
Far Northeast W took their win against the Thunderbirds when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 60-35. Does Far Northeast W have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
