In what's become a running theme this season, Martinsville gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-39 victory over Kennard.
Even though Apple Springs has not done well against Centerville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Apple Springs took down Centerville 59-43. The victory was just what Apple Springs needed coming off of a 66-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Dakota Campbell was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Connor Kaufman, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Martinsville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Apple Springs, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Martinsville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Apple Springs when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 62-58 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Campbell, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds.
