The Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 79-28 at home. Elgin/Pope John's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Elgin/Pope John can attribute much of their success to Keyera Eisenhauer, who scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eisenhauer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ashlynne Charf, who scored ten points.
Elgin/Pope John pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Elgin/Pope John will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chambers/Wheeler Central at 5:00 p.m. on February 6th. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crofton on February 6th.
