The Crawford County Wolfpack typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Northeast Dubois Jeeps proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 40-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northeast Dubois also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2020.
Northeast Dubois was led to victory by Emmersen Kalb and Kelli Merkel. Kalb scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Merkel scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Merkel scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Bella Cummins, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Northeast Dubois has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Crawford County, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.
Northeast Dubois will head out on the road to take on Vincennes Rivet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crawford County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corydon Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corydon Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
