The Exeter Township Eagles will take on the Solanco Golden Mules at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Exeter Township is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Exeter Township got the win against Reading by a conclusive 10-3. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Red KNights: they've now won three in a row.
Mason Goodhart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brenton Feathers, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Franek, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Solanco ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Lampeter-Strasburg 3-2. That's two games straight that the Golden Mules have won by just one run.
Solanco also got a great performance from Derek Phipps as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Phipps has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Chase Sensenig was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
Exeter Township's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Solanco, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Exeter Township has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Solanco struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Exeter Township's way against Solanco in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Exeter Township made off with a 10-4 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Golden Mules have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
