The Columbus Cougars were the 60-55 winner over the Jefferson Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Columbus took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson.
Dalton Noble was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Colt Tietje was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Sweet Grass County the next time they take the court. Jefferson will head out to face Sweet Grass County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Columbus will host them at 12:30 p.m. on December 16th.
