The Penns Grove Red Devils won the last time they faced the Florence Township Memorial Flashes, and things went their way on Friday too. Penns Grove narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Florence Township Memorial 6-3.
Penns Grove was led to victory by Bryce Wright and Karon Ceaser. Wright rushed for 113 yards, while Ceaser rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Penns Grove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Florence Township Memorial, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-1.
Penns Grove will head out on the road to face off against Woodstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodstown will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Florence Township Memorial will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Riverside at 11:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Riverside is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
