The Centreville Bulldogs are on the road again on Friday and play against the White Pigeon Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Centreville got themselves on the board against Quincy, but Quincy never followed suit. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 64-0 win over the Orioles. The victory was just what Centreville needed coming off of a 20-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Centreville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Xander Frederick, who gained 112 total yards and two touchdowns, and Kam Wells, who threw for 77 yards and three touchdowns on only seven passes. Carter Catier made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, White Pigeon put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past White Cloud 66-0 on the road. That's two games straight that White Pigeon has won by exactly 66 points.
Centreville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for White Pigeon, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0.
Things could have been worse for Centreville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 24-8 loss to White Pigeon in their previous matchup back in September. Can Centreville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
