The Villa Grove Blue Devils were the 80-58 winner over the Blue Ridge Knights when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Villa Grove took a 64-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Blue Ridge on Tuesday. Villa Grove has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Isaac Price continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blue Ridge, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Colin Michaels, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Villa Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Villa Grove will take on Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Ridge, they will be playing at home against Cumberland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cumberland is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
