Putnam County took down Jasper County 60-44 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Putnam County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Putnam County can attribute much of their success to Landon Bonner, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bonner has scored at least 25% of Putnam County's points. Kaleb Crawford was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Putnam County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Jasper County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greene County at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Greene County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Putnam County is ranked 36th). As for Jasper County, they will head out on the road to face off against Georgia Military College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
