There's no place like home for the Illiana Christian Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They secured a 58-52 W over Victory Christian Academy on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Illiana Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Andy Spoelman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Illiana Christian's points. Dylan Polak was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Illiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
Illiana Christian will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Calumet New Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the at 7:00 p.m. Andrews Academy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
