The Clay Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 40-39 photo finish over Oak Hill. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Clay also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Leading Clay to victory were Sophia Craft and Emma Emnett. Craft dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Emnett dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Emnett also posted eight assists for the first time this season.
The win makes it two in a row for Clay and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Oak Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Clay will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Notre Dame will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Clay surely won't give up without a fight. As for Oak Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Eastern at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Hill is coming into the contest with 16 straight losses on the road, meaning Eastern will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
