The Tanner Rattlers will look to defend their home court against the Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Tanner's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Lions have been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road.
After soaring to a 21-point win in their last game, Tanner came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of West Limestone by a score of 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tanner might have lost, but man, Skylar Townsend was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Dorning, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy suffered their closest defeat since November 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Waterloo by a score of 38-35.
Tanner's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Tanner against the Lions in their previous meeting last Wednesday as the team secured a 59-30 victory. Will Tanner repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
