Ashland has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Klamath Union Pelicans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ashland will be strutting in after a win while Klamath Union will be coming in after a defeat.
Ashland can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They put the hurt on North Bend with a sharp 44-20 victory.
Gavin White went supernova for Ashland, rushing for 139 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also catching a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Harrower, who threw for 142 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Klamath Union's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a rough 30-8 loss at the hands of Philomath.
Ashland's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Klamath Union, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Ashland skirted past Klamath Union 39-36 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ashland since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
