On Friday, Halifax Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Harrells Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win.
Halifax Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carolina Corum, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Corum continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Hayden Barlow was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
The win got Halifax Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Halifax Academy will be playing at home against Ridgecroft at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridgecroft is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they will challenge Cape Fear Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
