The Andrews Wildcats have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell just short of Robbinsville by a score of 53-51. Andrews has struggled against the Black Knights recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Greene, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Greene scored 15 or more points. Cameron Rattler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Andrews has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-5 record this season. As for Robbinsville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrews will take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Murphy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Robbinsville will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hayesville is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
