In what's become a running theme this season, the Whitko Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 69-31 victory over Prairie Heights at home. Winning may never get old, but Whitko sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kyler Krull continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Essegian, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lance Speck, who scored six points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Yoder, who scored six points.
Whitko is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Prairie Heights, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
Whitko will square off against Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwood is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Prairie Heights, they will face off against Satanta at TBD on Tuesday. Satanta is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
