The Cisco Loboes will challenge the Bangs Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cisco has five straight victories, Bangs has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Cisco made easy work of Strawn and carried off a 12-1 win. The Loboes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Aubrey Corpus made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AJ Pevey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Aubrey Malcuit was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Bangs came up short against Ballinger on Monday, falling 20-5.
Bangs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cheyenne Rush, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI were Rush's first of the season. Another was Justice Baker, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Cisco's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-2. As for Bangs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Bangs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cisco has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Bangs, though, as they've been averaging 10.3 hits. Given Cisco's sizable advantage in that area, the Dragons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Cisco couldn't quite finish off Bangs in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 and fell 8-6. Will the Loboes have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
