Chillicothe is 0-10 against the Tigers since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chillicothe Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Electra Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Chillicothe has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-22, which was the final score in Chillicothe's tilt against the Mustangs back in January. While losing is never fun, Chillicothe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1655th, while the Mustangs are ranked 366th).
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Electra's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their tough 98-77 loss to Benjamin might stick with them for a while. Electra has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Chillicothe's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.3 points per game. As for Electra, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-5.
Chillicothe was dealt a bruising 83-9 loss at the hands of the Tigers when the teams last played back in January. Can Chillicothe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
