Football Recap: North Wake S Piles Up the Points Against Wayne Preparatory Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Wake S). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Wayne Preparatory Academy Generals 36-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Saints considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Wake S' defense and their ten sacks. AJ Tunney refused to say out of the backfield, picking up four sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up four sacks, forcing one fumble, and making ten total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

North Wake S' victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, North Wake S will challenge South Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Wayne Preparatory Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
