The third road game was the charm for the Plainfield South Cougars, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 52-47 win over DeKalb on Saturday.
Plainfield South was led to victory by La'Niya Willis and Jazlynn Foster. Willis scored 7 points along with 7 steals, while Foster scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Foster has scored at least 25% of Plainfield South's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tierra Abner, who scored 11 points.
Plainfield South's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for DeKalb, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield South will take on Plainfield East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will be playing at home against Larkin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Larkin is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
