The Awaken Christian Lions waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 64-52 win over Founders Classical Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Awaken Christian also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Awaken Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Jordan, who scored 24 points along with six assists. Jordan is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abel Sebsebie, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Awaken Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Founders Classical Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Awaken Christian will take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (White Pine is ranked 84th, while the Lions are ranked 61st). As for Founders Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
