The Center Grove Trojans can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenwood 81-48 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Center Grove has managed all season.
Center Grove can attribute much of their success to Michael Ephraim, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Ephraim also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Will Spellman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Greenwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jake Mosemann, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac O'neal, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Center Grove is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Greenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Center Grove won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Whiteland at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Whiteland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Center Grove likes a good challenge. Greenwood's road trip will continue as they head out to face Decatur Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th.
