Boys' Latin Charter were the 60-34 winner over the George Washington Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Boys' Latin Charter took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of George Washington on Tuesday.
Leading George Washington to victory were Jashid Tillaev and Reinaldo Torrech. Tillaev scored 16 points along with 3 steals, while Torrech scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds. Torrech is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Berry, who scored 3 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Boys' Latin Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for George Washington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Boys' Latin Charter will be playing at home against Maritime Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for George Washington, they will head out on the road to face off against Paul Robeson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
