The win was a breath of fresh air for the Sartans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
A big part of the victory came down to the chemistry between Isaiah Carpenter and his top target Cayl Cox-Liggins. Carpenter threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns while Cox-Liggins picked up 120 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Cox-Liggins also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making a tackle and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
St. Pius X's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done.
