Baseball Recap: Theodore's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Theodore entered their tilt with Rain on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Rain Red Raiders with a sharp 19-3 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Draden Jones was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Davis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Theodore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Theodore picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-8. As for Rain, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Theodore will venture away from home to challenge Mary G. Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Theodore's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Rain, they will head out on the road to square off against Blount at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
