After two games on the road, Orestimba is heading back home. They will take on The Denair Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Orestimba got themselves on the board against Waterford, but Waterford never followed suit. They breezed by the Wildcats on the road to the tune of 37-0. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Orestimba had established a 31 point advantage.
Orestimba's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Moses Pollard, who rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns, and Jose Cuevas, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. Cuevas' longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Dyson Hernandez got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Denair had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over Delhi at home.
Their wins bumped Orestimba to 6-2 and Denair to 6-1-1.
