Bear Lake is 0-10 against Malad since April of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. Bear Lake is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Brielle Romrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyten Crockett, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Caleigh Beard, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Bear Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marsh Valley only posted a batting average of .214.
Meanwhile, Malad suffered their biggest loss since March 27th on Monday. They lost 15-5 to Logan. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Dragons, who until this matchup were averaging 3.18 runs allowed.
Malad saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Toone, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Aubrey Shulz was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Bear Lake's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Malad, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-3.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bear Lake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .423. However, it's not like Malad struggles in that department as they've averaged .427. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
