The Parrish Community Bulls will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Fort Myers Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Fort Myers will be up against a hot Parrish Community squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 13. Parrish Community put the hurt on Hardee with a sharp 22-4 win on Tuesday.
Isabella Yazzetti was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over 6.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Parrish Community got a massive performance out of Mackenzie Pandelo, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave Pandelo a new career-high in hits (five). Another player making a difference was Madelina Chapman, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6.
Meanwhile, Fort Myers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over Bonita Springs. Fans of the Green Wave have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Parrish Community, Fort Myers also got a great game from a two-way player: Lolly Lane. Throwing, Lane tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Afton Jessogne pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. At the plate, Lane scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Jessogne scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tegan Webb, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Jordan McKee was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
Fort Myers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fort Myers, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Everything went Parrish Community's way against Fort Myers in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Parrish Community made off with a 9-2 victory. Does Parrish Community have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Myers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
