The biggest upset of the week belonged to Newfound Regional, who took down 39th ranked Newfound Regional, 43-7.
Campbell was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Division VI. Campbell vanquished Gilford 35-14 earlier in the week.
The Bears' dynamic duo of Jared Dearborn and Devin Fields proved tough for Mascoma to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dearborn threw for 137 yards and one touchdown and Fields had 61 yards receiving. Jake Dearborn helped Newfound Regional's passing attack out by catching three balls for 58 yards.
Nick Tapply made the biggest impact on defense this week as Newfound Regional lost to the Royals. The junior recorded one fumble.
Christian Serrano was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 180 yards on 30 carries as Winnisquam fell to Mascoma. Austin Hunt also contributed to the rushing game with 36 yards on the ground.
Newfound Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dearborn has thrown for 935 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Fields has 20 catches for 305 yards. Tyler Maviki leads the league in rushing with 1278 yards.
Two of the top units in Division VI will face off this week when the Bears take on Franklin. Newfound Regional's offense has scored 211 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Tornadoes have allowed only 82 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ray Kershaw's team takes on Paul Hickey's team. As it stands, the Royals are in fourth, while Campbell is in second.
Newport led the league in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on Raymond.
