After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoover, Thompson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Thompson's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Westminster School at Oak Mountain are ranked 95th).

Thompson is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 67 goals over those 13 matches. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-9-1 record.
