Quincy Notre Dame entered their tilt with Pleasant Hill on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolves an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Raiders have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Quincy Notre Dame's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Pleasant Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Quincy Notre Dame and Pleasant Hill should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Raiders will square off against Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (75 vs. 330). Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill (ranked 215th) will meet Mendon Unity (ranked 522nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
