Catholic Central won against Buckeye Local last Tuesday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Catholic Central Crusaders put the hurt on the Bridgeport Bulldogs with a sharp 59-36 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Bridgeport saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaleel Vincent posted 15 points and five rebounds. That was a full 41.7% of Bridgeport's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaki Threet, who put up eight points.

Catholic Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Bridgeport, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will venture away from home to take on Heartland Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Heartland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Bridgeport, they will challenge Conotton Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
