Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakwood Academy). They claimed a resounding 93-42 victory over the Valley Head Tigers. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Donnell Morgan was the offensive standout of the matchup as he went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jayson McCoy, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Oakwood Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. They are 4-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Oakwood Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Valley Head, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakwood Academy will head out to face off against Smyrna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 68.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Valley Head, they will face off against Skyline at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
