After three games on the road, Milton is heading back home. They will take on the South Forsyth War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully the War Eagles likes a good challenge.
Last Tuesday, Milton strolled past the Wolverines with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Given Milton's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Wolverines are ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nya Smith, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Smith is crushing the point category: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. Londyn Walker was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven steals and six assists.
Meanwhile, South Forsyth came out on top against the Longhorns on Tuesday by a score of 59-50 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Milton pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for South Forsyth, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Milton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win. Will Milton repeat their success, or do the War Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
