Clearview is 0-6 against Columbia since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Clippers will venture away from home to square off against the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Clearview has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Tuesday, Clearview came up short against Wellington and fell 13-9.

Xavier Rivera made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Clearview: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Walmalier Maldonado, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). They never let Oberlin get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Logan Menge made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Carter Duley was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Carter Hess also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Columbia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oberlin only posted a batting average of .067.
Columbia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Clearview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
Clearview suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Columbia in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Clippers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
