The Grayson Rams will be playing at home against the North Paulding Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Grayson comes in on five and North Paulding on three.
Grayson had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Richmond Hill by a score of 34-24 on Friday.
Grayson had a senior duo take command as Jeff Davis threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes and John Cineas picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but North Paulding ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past East Coweta 22-19.
North Paulding's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Clayton, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 9-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Grayson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 205.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like North Paulding struggles in that department as they've been averaging 173.5 per game. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
