This season hasn't been kind to the Albertville Aggies, who are still winless after their tenth game. They were dealt a 57-16 defeat at the hands of Guntersville on Friday. Albertville has not had much luck with Guntersville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Albertville saw an underclassman step up: Des Revolte picked up 123 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Revolte's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
Albertville bumped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 11-2 Arab and 7-4 Austin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.7% over those games). As for Guntersville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Albertville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Guntersville will be playing in front of their home fans against Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Springville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Guntersville likes a good challenge.
