Freehold Boro got off to a slow start in their contest last Friday against Freehold Township, but they had no such trouble against Lacey Township as they cruised to a 21-point first half. Lacey Township countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 21-7 going into the half. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Freehold Boro in the second half and held Lacey Township to 0 points.
Freehold Boro's victory brought them up to 5-3. The loss dropped Lacey Township's record to 4-5.
Freehold Boro will look to defend their home turf next week against Howell at 1:00 PM. Unlike Freehold Boro, Howell will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Lacey Township, they will face off against Manalapan. Neither Lacey Township nor Manalapan could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
