The Mountain Crest Mustangs were the 71-58 winner over the Bear River Bears when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Mountain Crest took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bear River on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Mountain Crest has lost by exactly 12 points.
Mountain Crest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joseph Hunsaker, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Hess, who scored 14 points.
Mountain Crest's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Bear River, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Crest will take on Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Ridgeline focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Bear River, they will be playing at home against Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Bear River is ranked 29th, while Logan is ranked 16th).
