Despite the loss, Conway Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Miles Crawford went 8-for-18 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That was a full 37.7% of the Eagles' points, marking the 11th time in a row Crawford has posted more than a third of the team's points. Mason Lee was another key player, shooting 50% from the field en route to 10 points and eight rebounds.
Laurens Academy's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Conway Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
