The Boyertown Bears had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Upper Perkiomen with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 63-47. With that win, Boyertown brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Boyertown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brant Rath led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Rath also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedyn Johnson, who scored 14 points along with five assists and two steals.
Boyertown's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Upper Perkiomen, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyertown will take on the Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
