Pilot Point hasn't had much luck against Pottsboro recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats will head out to challenge the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Pilot Point comes in on four and Pottsboro on six.
Pilot Point is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past A Plus Academy, posting a 78-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Bearcats just coasted through the last quarter.
Pilot Point can attribute much of their success to Garrett Evans, who threw for 110 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.
Pilot Point was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Pottsboro won against Palmer last Friday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Cardinals breezed past A Plus Academy to the tune of 57-6. That looming 57-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Pilot Point has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 338.3 rushing yards per game. Pilot Point couldn't quite get it done against Pottsboro in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 48-40. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Nix, who rushed for 144 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. Now that the Bearcats know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
