Lake Lure Classical Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Community Christian Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Lake Lure Classical Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Lake Lure Classical Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season. They breezed by University Christian at home to the tune of 55-27.
Da'Zirus Watkins was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lake Lure Classical Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Staley, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Community Christian Academy was beaten by Christian Family Academy 76-39 on Tuesday. Lake Lure Classical Academy's win lifted them to 6-0 while University Christian's loss dropped them down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Lake Lure Classical Academy against Community Christian Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 97-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Lure Classical Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
