It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Walker Valley Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against Lenoir City as Walker Valley made off with a 37-11 win. Walker Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven games by 26 points or more this season.
Evan Schwarzl was his usual excellent self, rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
Walker Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Lenoir City, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Walker Valley will head out on the road to face off against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive. Lenoir City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
