The Apponequet Regional Lakers waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. Everything went their way against Seekonk as Apponequet Regional made off with a 66-42 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-12.
Caiden Sears and Lucas Pereira certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Sears scored eight points, while Pereira scored six points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Lush, who scored two points along with seven rebounds.
Apponequet Regional has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Seekonk, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apponequet Regional will take on Dartmouth at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Seekonk, they will be playing at home against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
