The Hamtramck Cosmos will head out on the road to challenge the Richard Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamtramck is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
Hamtramck played against Dexter and lost via forfeit.
On Monday, Richard came up short against Cranbrook Kingswood and fell 49-40. While losing is never fun, Richard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Cranbrook Kingswood is ranked 207th).
Hamtramck bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.5 points per game. As for Richard, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
